A Mount Pleasant police officer who saved the life of a man who had collapsed in his home is the town’s Employee of the Month.
Officer Hannah Howard was recognized Tuesday at the town’s monthly council meeting.
On May 5, Howard was sent to a home regarding a man who had collapsed and stopped breathing. When she arrived, the man had no pulse, Inspector Chip Googe said. She performed CPR until EMS arrived to take over.
“Pfc. Howard’s quick action saved the gentleman’s life,” Googe said.
Medics were able to revive the man before transporting him to a local hospital.
