Mount Pleasant man dies of injuries from motorcycle crash two weeks ago

A 25-year-old Mount Pleasant man died Sunday from injuries he suffered in motorcycle crash Nov. 11 in the North Charleston area.

Dorchester County Interim Coroner Katrina Patton identified the man Monday as Shawn Vowels.

Vowels was riding his motorcycle about 12:30 p.m. and crashed near the intersection of Ashley Phosphate Road and Patriot Boulevard, Patton said.

He died of his injuries at Trident Hospital, Patton said.
