A Mount Pleasant man is in custody after an armed robbery at a bank cash machine early this morning.
Calvin Malone Vanderhorst, 17, of Rifle Range Road is charged with two counts of armed robbery, unlawful possession of a pistol and possession of a stolen pistol.
Two people reported being robbed at 12:22 a.m. at the Bank of America ATM at 1929 Highway 17 North, according to Mount Pleasant police Maj. Stan Gragg. Officers noticed a man matching their description in the area and recovered what they believe to be stolen currency and pistol used during the robbery, Gragg said.
Vanderhorst is being held in the Charleston County jail.
