Mount Pleasant firefighters battle home blaze on Rifle Range Road

Firefighters on Monday morning battled a home fire in Mount Pleasant.

The call around 8:30 a.m. reported smoke at 2335 Rifle Range Road, according to a dispatch supervisor at the Charleston County Consolidated 911 Center.

The mobile home is near the intersection with Tarrington Lane, according to county property records.

A spokesman for the Mount Pleasant Police Department said that northbound Rifle Range Road was closed between Six Mile Road and Tarrington Lane.

By 9:15 a.m., firefighters at the scene reported that visible flames had been extinguished as they searched for any more fire.
