A fire that destroyed a Summerville home early Tuesday morning is under investigation.

The fire started about 2 a.m. in a brick home at the intersection of Radcliff Circle and State Road.

No one was home at the time of the blaze and there were no injuries, Pine Ridge Volunteer Fire Department spokesman Deputy Chief Jonathan Ryan said.

Several agencies helped put out the fire including Pine Ridge, Whitesville Rural, Goose Creek, and Moncks Corner Rural fire departments.
