The driver of a moped was taken to the hospital in serious condition Wednesday afternoon after a wreck in North Charleston.
Officers responded around 4:30 p.m. to Accabee Road and Bailey Drive for a report of a crash involving a moped and two vehicles, according to North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of the moped ran the stop sign at the intersection, Pryor said. The area is just west of Cosgrove Avenue and south of Dorchester Road.
The driver of the moped was taken to Medical University Hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
