Five people were arrested and money, drugs and a handgun were confiscated when officers searched a South Street residence, Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said.

The department’s Special Investigations Unit, along with officers from the Team One Community Action Team, executed a search warrant Friday at 30-A South Street. The effort led police to 37 grams of marijuana, a handgun and almost $500 in cash, Francis said.

Arrested were: Adrian Arvel Collins, 23, of America Street, charged with second-offense possession of marijuana; Trae Brielle Dickerson, 19, of South Street; Brandon Jordan Dickerson, 20, and Antwan Williams, 29, both of America Street; and Orlando Kleckley, 23, of Picardy Place, North Charleston, all charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

All five suspects are being held at the Cannon Detention Center.

The investigation is the result of information provided to police by citizens concerned about narcotic activity at the residence, Francis said.
