North Charleston fire officials are investigating a blaze that heavily damaged a mobile home on Rae Street Sunday evening, leaving a family of four homeless.
Firefighters responded to 5419 Rae St. at 7 p.m. and found flames showing from the home, Fire Marshal Cindy Killette said. Crews extinguished the blaze and there were no reported injuries, she said.
The American Red Cross assisted two adults and two children displaced by the fire, Killette said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but foul play is not suspected, Killette said.
