A Summerville man who was wanted on five arrest warrants was arrested Wednesday by local officers and a local and federal task force,

Michael D. “Rambo” Smith 23, of 510 East Richardson Drive was located about 10 a.m. at his residence. Arriving at his home were Charleston County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the K-9 unit, members of the U.S. Marshal’s Office Task Force and Lincolnville Police, sheriff’ Maj. Jim Brady said today.

Smith was taken into custody after about 20 minutes and transported to the Cannon Detention Center, where he was served warrants for criminal domestic violence, criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, failure to stop for blue lights, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, Brady said.

A bond hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday.
