Supporters of creating a National Medal of Honor Museum at Patriots Point will be at the Statehouse on Tuesday to hear a concurrent resolution supporting the plan.
Medal of Honor recipient Major General James E. Livingston, USMC (Ret.), and members of the board of directors of the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation, will be presented with H. 3979, a concurrent resolution supporting the idea.
At 12:30 p.m., Speaker of the House Bobby Harrell, R-Charleston, will present the concurrent resolution to the group. At 1 p.m., Sen. George E. “Chip” Campsen, R-Isle of Palms, will do the same on behalf of the Senate.
Plans are advancing for a $100 million Medal of Honor Museum on waterfront land at the state-owned tourist attraction.
