ANDERSON, S.C. — Authorities say a 50-year-old man wanted on a murder charge from Anderson County has been arrested.
Deputies said officers in Clemson checking on a call about a suspicious person found David Durham Sr. around 5:30 p.m. Sunday and arrested him without any problems.
Investigators say Durham was in a pickup truck that fired Friday on an SUV on U.S. Highway 76 outside of Anderson. Authorities say 19-year-old Jamon Kay was struck and killed.
Deputies say there were five people in the SUV, and at least one of them talked to Durham at a convenience store just before the shooting. But they aren’t sure if that’s what led to the shooting.
Durham remains in jail. It wasn’t known if he had an attorney.
