Man taken into custody in Anderson shooting death

ANDERSON, S.C. — A man has been taken into custody in a shooting death in Anderson.

Anderson County sheriff’s deputies told local media that officers were called to a home around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Deputies found a man who had been shot several times and died at the scene. His name has not been released.

Deputies say charges are pending against a suspect who was taken into custody at the home.

Lt. Sheila Cole says investigators are still trying to determine what prompted the shooting.
