ANDERSON, S.C. — Anderson County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man involved in a deadly shooting along a highway.
Sheriff’s Capt. Garland Major told local media outlets that shots were fired from a pickup truck into an SUV on U.S. 76 shortly before 1:30 a.m. Friday.
Major said five people were in the SUV and one of them, 19-year-old Jamon Samuel Kay of Anderson, was taken to AnMed Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported.
Major said a motive for the shooting remains unclear.
