Man shot in leg on James Island

A man was shot in the leg on James Island early Monday morning.

The shooting was reported about 4:30 a.m. on Jordan Street, according to Charleston police. The injury was not considered life-threatening.

Officers brought in a dog to search for clues and did not immediately identify a suspect.

The neighborhood is off Folly Road just south of the Ellis Creek bridge.
