Man out on bond on murder charge accused in another death

LANCASTER, S.C. — Authorities say they have charged a 22-year-old Lancaster man with murder about three weeks after he reported that a Monroe, North Carolina, woman killed herself in his home.

Deputies said in a news release that 19-year-old Quatavia Robinson’s death on Dec. 23 initially looked like a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

But Lancaster County Sheriff Barry Faile says autopsy results and more investigation determined that Keishawn McManus shot and killed Robinson during an argument and then made it look like the teen killed herself in a bedroom. He didn’t release additional details.

Deputies are still looking for McManus.

Court records show McManus was out on a $50,000 bond after being charged with murder in the July 2012 death of a man after what authorities say was an argument about a drug deal.
