A man wearing a blue T-shirt with “Security” written on it robbed a Savannah Highway drugstore today, authorities said.

The robbery was reported about 8 p.m. at the Walgreens Pharmacy at 3621 Savannah Highway, Charleston County Sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said. The store is just south of Main Road on U.S. Highway 17, near Johns Island.

The man handed a clerk a note demanding money but didn’t display a weapon. Then he went out through the rear of the store.

The robber was described as a white male, about 6 feet 1 inch tall, 240 pounds. He was also wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses.
