Man accused of taping Caitlyn’s muzzle to appear in court Friday


The man accused of taping Caitlyn the dog’s muzzle shut is due back in court Friday.

William Leonard Dodson, 41, has been in the Charleston County jail since June 1 on $50,000 bail. A hearing asking that his bond be revoked will be held at the Charleston County Courthouse, according to the Charleston Animal Society.

Dodson faces a felony charge of ill treatment of animals. The maximum penalty is five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
