A man accused of robbing a Mount Pleasant bank last week has been apprehended in Mississippi, authorities said.

At about 5 p.m. Tuesday, Kyle Edward Templeton was arrested in connection with the robbery at the CresCom Bank at 1492 Stuart Engals Blvd., said Mount Pleasant police Cpl. Chris Rosier.

Templeton, whose age and address were not released, was arrested by the Mississippi Highway Patrol after an investigation of a vehicle collision at a rest stop off Interstate 10. Upon his return to South Carolina, Templeton will be charged with entering a bank with the intent to steal, Rosier said. Templeton also faces criminal charges in Mississippi.

Templeton is currently lodged in the Hancock County jail in Bay St. Louis, Miss.
