A teenager who was already in jail has been charged with a burglary in a West Ashley subdivision.

Abraham E. Jenkins, 17, of Wedgefield Road in West Ashley, is accused to breaking into a house on Bent Hickory Road May 21 and taking money and electronic equipment, police spokesman Charles Francis said today.

The house that was broken into is in Grand Oaks Plantation off Bees Ferry Road.

Jenkins was charged with second-burglary. He was served with the warrant at the Al Cannon Detention Center, where he is being held on unrelated charges, according to Francis.

Jenkins was already locked up on several other charges of burglary and grand larceny, according to jail records.
