Isolated storms possible on otherwise sunny Sunday in Charleston

Isolated thunderstorms are possible around midday on an otherwise sunny Sunday in the Charleston area.

The only hazard that the National Weather Service warned of was a moderate risk of rip currents through Sunday night.

Here are the details of the forecast:

Sunday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. East wind 6 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 69. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. Light east wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 73. South wind 8 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Wednesday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 75.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 89. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 75.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 90.
