An online game session led a Mount Pleasant teen to email a bomb threat to a Michigan school, according to investigators.

The threat against Covenant Christian School in Ludington, Mich., was made Jan. 19, and the 13-year-old boy was charged with threatening to cause damage by means of a destructive device Feb. 3, according to a report by WPBN television station in Traverse City, Mich.

No bomb was found. Investigators tracked the teen through cellphones and Internet addresses, and Mount Pleasant police helped find him, according to the report.

The teen’s name was not disclosed because of his age. Mason County’s prosecuting attorney told the television station that the teen will face the charges in South Carolina.
