The high should be around 95, with a heat index up to 107, according to the National Weather Service. The chance of rain is 60 percent, with showers and thunderstorms most likely after 5 p.m.
The weather service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Charleston area from 2 to 8 p.m. Some of the storms could be accompanied by wind gusts more than 60 mph.
Friday should be cooler, with a high near 89 and a 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 1 p.m., according to the weather service.
Saturday should be mostly sunny, with a high around 88 and a 20 percent chance of rain.
Sunday should be mostly sunny, with a high near 89.
