Hollywood resident reports armed home invasion

A Hollywood resident said two men held him at gunpoint and ransacked his house Saturday night, according to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.

The 34-year-old victim said he came out of the house on Salters Hill Road about 11:15 p.m. when two men ran up and demanded, “Where is the money?” The resident told deputies one of the men pointed a long gun at him, hit him in the back of the head with it, then forced him inside while the other man went through the house tearing everything up. He said the man with the gun had his face covered and he didn’t get a good look at the other man.

The victim said he was missing about $50 worth of jewelry and a safe with $4,100 inside, according to the report.
