A Hanahan man has been arrested on a charge of obstructing justice in the disappearance of Summerville area mother Ashley Pegram.
Edward Primo Bonilla, 30, of Maybeline Road was jailed Wednesday night, and his bail was set at $400,000 during a hearing the next morning.
Detectives from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office said Bonilla gave them information that was “false and misleading” in their search for Bonilla.
Ashley Pegram, a mother of three who lives in the Clemson Terrace neighborhood near Summerville, left home about 9:30 p.m. April 3 with a man she met through Kik, a messaging app for smartphones that she had used before to line up dates, according to her family.
She never came home.
She was last near the house in a slate-blue 2005 Hyundai Sonata.
