Goose Creek Police Chief Harvey Becker is urging area residents to make a difference by joining the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Bike-A-Thon fundraiser.

The “Making a Difference for St. Jude” fundraiser will take place on April 13 at 9 a.m., a news release states.

“We’re looking for riders of all ages who will contribute their time and talent to help children live. We really need lots of riders, since they are the ones who can make this Bike-A-Thon successful,” Becker said.

Several prizes will be awarded to participants, including a St. Jude T-Shirt for riders who raise $35, a sling bag for those who raise $75 and a camp stool for those who raise $150 or more, according to the release.

For details on riding, sponsoring a rider or making a donation, contact Becker at 863-5200 ext. 2309. Rider sponsor forms are available for pick up at the Goose Creek Police Department.
