After the devastating fire on Front Street in Georgetown last week, The Georgetown Times is donating $25,000 to the Fire Relief Fund sponsored by the Georgetown Business Association.

The Georgetown Business Association, the United Way and the Chamber of Commerce have worked together with numerous banks in the area to set up the Fire Relief Fund. A committee representing those agencies will review requests for assistance and allocate the funds.

John Carr, publisher of The Georgetown Times said, “We at The Georgetown Times are struck by the speed and generosity of the support generated so far. We are glad we are able to take part and hope that all residents and businesses who are able consider doing so as well.”
