Frigid temperatures will continue today in Charleston, with sunny skies offering a little comfort.

The Lowcountry awoke Thursday morning to temperatures in the low 20s and a frigid wind that made it feel closer to 7 or 8 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

The mercury should climb to around 37 this afternoon, but the wind chill could make it feel like 7 degrees, according to the weather service. At least there will be lots of sunshine.

Temperatures will drop to around 27 tonight, with less wind.

Friday's outlook calls for partly sunny skies, a high near 49 and an overnight low around 31.

The mercury should climb to around 50 degrees Saturday, with an overnight low around 33.

The chance of rain this weekend is 20 percent chance Saturday night, a 30 percent chance Sunday and a 40 percent chance Sunday night.
