The Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments will kick off a study on the Folly Road corridor at a public meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lowcountry Senior Center, 865 Riverland Drive, on James Island.
The meeting will include a presentation by the project’s consultant team on the issues the study will address. The study will explore options for the future of the road, from Center Street on Folly Beach to the Wappoo Cut Bridge.
It will be the first in a series of meetings where the BCDCOG will ask the community for input on a future plan for the road.
