Heavy fog canceled a half dozen outgoing flights at the Charleston International Airport Tuesday morning.

The threat to visibility canceled all flights out of the airport Monday night.

Outgoing flights are expected to resume around 8:30 a.m. today, airport spokesoman Charlene Gunnells said.

Flights can be checked at the airport's website at chs-airport.com.

The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory for the Charleston area through 10 a.m. today.

There is also a chance of drizzle during the same time span, with a slight chance of rain between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Otherwise it's expected to be cloudy with a high of about 56.

There is a chance of rain or drizzle tonight as well with temperatures falling to about 40.
