Flash flood warning issued for Folly Beach, Johns Island, Kiawah until 1:30 p.m.

Folly Beach flooded Sunday as slow-moving storms passed over Charleton County.

The National Weather Service in Charleston issued a flash flood warningfor Folly Beach, Johns Island and Kiawah through 1:30 p.m.

Several residents posted images of Folly Beach flooding on social media.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue through 5 p.m.

The National Weather Service urges residents to avoid driving down flooded streets as the water is usually deeper than it apears and the road may be washed out.
