CLEMSON, S.C. — Federal Trade Commission member Joshua Wright is speaking at Clemson University on the regulation of high-technology markets.
Wright’s speech is scheduled for Thursday is at 4 p.m. in Holtzendorff Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
The commissioner’s speech will also deal with the tendency of government agencies to frustrate or delay technological innovation as well as antitrust law and the role of the FTC.
Wright is known as a scholar in the fields of law, economics and telecommunications policy. He was appointed by President Barack Obama and has served on the commission since January 2013.
A reception for Wright and Clemson graduate students is being held following the event in the Holtzendorff Hall lobby.
