Ronald Miles, 46 of Maxie Road, is charged with first-degree burglary and pointing a firearm, jail records show.

Deputies were dispatched to 1966 Highway 174 about 9 p.m. on Wednesday, an incident report states.

Deputies said Miles entered his 25-year-old nephew’s home, pointed a rifle and yelled that he was searching for his 23-year-old son.

Miles got into an argument with his son earlier in the day at the home, according to the report. Miles returned with the rifle that night threatening to kill him, the report said.

The son was not at the home and deputies said they were not able to locate him.

He told deputies that he was invited into his nephew’s home.

Miles admitted having a rifle, but said he didn’t point the gun at anyone, deputies said. Investigators found the gun hidden in some bushes by Miles’ home.
