A driver who caused a motorcycle wreck in Ladson on Wednesday night has been charged, according to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.
A 2002 Ford Taurus traveling east on U.S. Highway 78 turned in front of a motorcycle at the Ladson Road interchange, causing the motorcycle to hit the car, according to Maj. Eric Watson. The motorcycle rider was thrown from the bike and transported to Medical University Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Ford, Zulma Vasquez-Gonzalez, 25, of Highway 78 in Ladson, was not injured. She was charged with failure to yield the right of way and operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license.
