Driver in fatal Goose Creek hit-and-run posts $25,000 bond, police looking for 2 more involved

Joshua E. Brown (Provided)

The driver in a fatal hit-and-run in Goose Creek Saturday night has been identified, according to police.

Joshua E. Brown, 25, of Pinhurst Street in North Charleston, hit Anthony Missouri, 26, as he was crossing St. James Avenue and then left the scene, Capt. John Grainger said.

Brown turned himself in Thursday with an attorney who represents him. He was charged with hit-and-run causing death and granted a $25,000 bond, which he posted the same day, according to Grainger.

Police tracked Brown down after the red Chrysler 300 they believe was involved in the crash turned up at a body shop. The car was registered to Avis Rentals in Virginia.

The investigation is ongoing and Grainger said the Police Department is working to identify two additional people who were in the vehicle with Brown at the time of the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Goose Creek Police Department at 843-863-5200 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
