2 dead, 2 hurt in accident near Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Highway Patrol says two teenagers have died and two others were hurt after a pickup truck ran a red light and hit a car on the U.S. 17 bypass outside Myrtle Beach.

Area media outlets report the wreck happened about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said the driver of the truck, 17-year-old Riley Bloch of Conway, was killed in the crash. The second victim was identified as 16-year-old Gavin Brunetti of Surfside Beach who was a passenger in the car.

Authorities say the driver of the car and a passenger in the truck were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
