The Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy is currently hosting a course examining how to minister through the psychological and spiritual impact of moments of crisis.
The course combines faith-based and crisis intervention techniques, a news release said.
Rev. Rob Dewey co-authoroed the Pastoral Crisis Intervention course in 2001 shortly before the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, according to the release. It is certified through the University of Maryland.
The three day course concludes Friday and runs from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., the release said. It is taking place at North Charleston City Hall’s Montague Room.
