Residents in the Charleston area can expect a sunny day with highs in the 90s today.
National Weather Service meteorologist Vern Beaber said the winds that caused a tornado in Holly Hill yesterday won’t be a problem in Charleston.
“Today’s going to be basically a nice quiet day. There’s not going to be a problem with wind or much of anything for that matter. It’s just a nice, early summer day,” Beaber said.
Temperatures will be around 90 with southwest winds moving from 5 to 10 mph. This afternoon southeast winds will be from 10 to 15 mph.
This evening will be mostly clear and partly cloudy with lows around 70 tonight.
