A woman working at the Charleston County jail was arrested Tuesday after having sex with an inmate in the kitchen cooler, according to officials.

Victoria Linnette Brown, 22, of North Charleston is charged with sexual misconduct with an inmate and faces up to 10 years in prison. She posted $10,000 bail Tuesday from the same jail, according to online records.

Brown works as a production supervisor and is contracted by Charleston County through Trinity Services, according to a news release.

The inmate, whose name was not released, told Charleston County sheriff’s detectives Monday that he had sex with Brown in a walk-in cooler on April 2 while he was an inmate worker in the kitchen at the jail, according to an arrest affidavit.

Brown confirmed to detectives the story was true, the affidavit states. No other information has been released.
