The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center has been named the sixth-fastest-growing VA hospital in the country.
It also received a 5-star rating, according to the VA’s Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning Value model, which evaluates hospitals on patient safety, access and customer satisfaction. In early 2014, the hospital only earned a 3-star rating.
“This VA truly is a world-class medical center with a team of health care professionals — a number of whom also practice and teach at MUSC,” Charleston VA Director Scott Isaacks said in a prepared statement.
The Charleston VA provides care to approximately 63,000 veterans in coastal South Carolina and Georgia.
