Charleston police seeking help identifying West Ashley school burglary suspects

Charleston police are looking for help identifying a man and woman caught on videotape burglarizing West Ashley Middle School Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012

Charleston police are asking for help identifying two people who broke into a West Ashley school and made a mess of the teachers’ lounge.

The man and woman broke into West Ashley Middle School at 1776 William Kennerty Drive around 4:30 a.m. Sept. 30, according to the incident report. They were caught on the school’s surveillance cameras.

The teachers’ lounge was in disarray and several items scattered in the middle of the hall, according to the report.

The cameras show the pair walking up and pulling at the front door of the school about 4:30 a.m., according the report. Then they are seen walking around the building and going in and out of the teachers’ lounge.

The investigating officer could not determine how they got into the building.

Both are described as 17-25 years old. The man was wearing a black T-shirt with The Dude in white letters on the front and gray shorts. The woman was wearing a black shirt, black jeans and black boots.

The report did not say that anything was missing from the building.
