Charleston police searching for graffiti suspect at daycare center

Provided Detectives need help identifying the man pictured. He is suspected of vandalizing the Roper Childrens Day Care Center on Radcliffe Street.

Charleston police on Wednesday asked for help identifying a man accused of spray painting graffiti at the Roper St. Francis Learning Center.

On May 9, the center’s manager told officers that a man pulled into the parking lot in a four-door Sedan around 8 p.m. and spray painted a wooden fence surrounding the nursery at 88 Radcliffe Street.

Unintelligible black writing was found spanning four feet on a section of the fence near its gated entrance, police said.

Police on Wednesday released an image of a white man with a slender build who spokesman Charles Francis said is a suspect in the case.

Anyone with information of the suspect can call Charleston Police at 577-7434 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
