Charleston police search for man wanted in fatal Saturday night shooting

Charleston police are asking for help locating Samuri Stanley, who is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting Saturday night. Provided.

Charleston police are asking for help finding a man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 38-year-old Johns Island man Saturday night.

The shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. in the area of Bozo Lane near Spence Drive, spokesman Charles Francis said.

Dwayne Blake, 38, died of a gunshot wound, Charleston County Deputy Coroner Kimberly Rhoton said.

Francis said they are looking for 22-year-old Samuri Stanley in connection with the slaying.

Stanley is a black male, about 6-foot-1, 150 pounds.

Anyone who sees him is asked to use extreme caution and contact police at (843) 720-2485.
