Charleston police release sketch of armed robbery suspect

Charleston police released this sketch of a man they say was involved in an armed robbery last week.

Charleston police released a sketch Tuesday of a suspect from an armed robbery last week and are asking for the public’s help to identify him.

Shortly before 11:15 p.m. Thursday, a 21-year-old man was walking on Henrietta Street near Elizabeth Street when two men approached him. One of the men had a gun and they took his cellphone and wallet, according to police.

Both suspects are described as black men between 18 and 23. One was about 5 feet 7 inches tall and the other about 6 feet. The sketch released is of one of the suspects, who is said to have large front teeth, according to police.
