Charleston police release photo of suspect in James Island bank robbery

The suspect in a robbery Wednesday at NBSC at 337 Folly Road on James Island.

Police have released a photo of a suspect in a James Island bank robbery that took place Wednesday morning.

The NBSC branch at 337 Folly Road was held up about 11 a.m., police spokesman Charles Francis said.

It’s not known if the man had a weapon, and he fled on foot, Francis said.

The suspect is a white man who was wearing sunglasses with his face covered, a dark hoodie and jeans. He is described as about 30 years old, thin, 5 feet 10 inches tall.
