Charleston police released a composite sketch of the suspect in Thursday’s shooting at Grove Street and Rutledge Avenue.
A woman was slightly injured when she was struck by a bullet that police said was fired by a man shooting at another man. The woman was shot in the leg about 6:30 p.m. while she was in a car.
The bullet was fired by one of two men who reportedly were fighting near Grove Street and Rutledge Avenue,
Police said the suspect in the case is a black man, 20 to 25 years old, between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet tall and 150 to 180 pounds. He was last seen running south on Rutledge Avenue in black shorts and a black cut-off T-shirt.
The woman was taken to Medical University Hospital, where she was treated and released.
