Charleston police: Man named Alejandro grabbed woman’s rear end

Police say this man calling himself Alejandro assaulted a woman Nov. 2 near King and Wentworth.

A man calling himself Alejandro grabbed a woman’s rear end twice and made lewd comments in downtown Charleston one afternoon last week, according to Charleston police.

The woman said she was assaulted around 2:30 p.m. Nov. 2 near King and Wentworth streets by a man who said his name was Alejandro, according to a police bulletin. Police released a video image of the suspect Thursday.

He is described as an Hispanic male around 24 or 25, with curly dark hair and a week’s worth of beard, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 170 pounds. He was wearing a white button-up shirt with a blue boat pattern and light blue shorts.
