Charleston Police arrest suspect in Market Street burglary

Police arrested James Blake of 128 N. Romney St. in connection with a July 16 burglary at a North Market Street shop.

Charleston police arrested and charged James Blake, 30, of 128 N. Romney St., Monday in connection with a burglary at a North Market Street shop last week.

Blake was charged with second-degree burglary, police spokesman Charles Francis said.

Police were dispatched to The Fudgery about 6:45 a.m. July 16 in reference to a burglary. Blake is accused of breaking into the business and stealing two cash registers.
