Charleston police arrest second, third suspects in reported larceny on Daniel Island

A search for two people wanted in connection with the reported theft of construction equipment on Daniel Island ended Saturday when they were taken into custody.

Samantha Elizabeth Dyson, 44, of West Montague Avenue, and Mark Walker, 50, of Galazie Drive, were both wanted on grand larceny charges, Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said.

A third suspect, Dennis Morgan Foxworth, 60, of West Montague Avenue, was arrested Friday in Berkeley County on the same charge, Francis said.

The arrests were made in connection with a theft that occurred between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday, according to an incident report. A red table saw, a yellow extension cord, several wooden newel posts, a kerosene heater and a bag of hand tools were allegedly stolen from a building on Lesesne Street, the report said.

Police stopped a Chevy pickup that was seen leaving the area around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, police said. The driver ran from the scene, but was later identified as Walker, police said.

The tools that were reported stolen were later found in the back of the truck, police said.

Walker was out on bail at the time in connection to a burglary that occurred earlier this month on Wando View Street, Francis said.

Police searched for Walker and Dyson Friday night, but they weren’t reported found until Saturday afternoon, he said.

Foxworth, Walker and Dyson also are suspected in a burglary that was reported on Pagett Street and vandalism on Delahow Street, he said.
