Charleston Library Society book sale Saturday

Charleston Library Society

The Charleston Library Society will have its holiday book sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The sale will be held on the front lawn of the library at 164 King St.

The sale includes many new and like-new books ideal for gifts, as well as quality used books, DVDs, and audiotapes. Almost all of the books have been donated by members, and reflect their wide-ranging interests. Particularly strong categories include fiction, history, art and local interest. Library Society notecards, Advent calendars, and book bags will also be available for purchase.

All proceeds from the sale benefit the Library Society, founded in 1748 and one of America’s oldest libraries.
