Charleston firefighters early this morning extinguished a grill fire at a downtown Hardee’s restaurant, Fire Marshal Mike Julazadeh said.
Crews arrived at Hardee’s, 209 Spring St., shorlty after midnight and found flames coming from the restaurant’s kitchen, Julazadeh said.
Firefighters activated a built-in fire suppression system and used less than 25 gallons of water to put out the flames, Julazadeh said.
Damage was contained to the kitchen and an inspector will evaluate the restaurant this morning, he said.
